We are thrilled to announce a major milestone for Drive 4 Change — we’ve been selected for a second year in a row to receive a generous grant from the Lucious Bateman Foundation! This incredible support is a testament to the power of our mission, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

As we close in on the end of Year 3 of our golf enrichment initiative, the impact of this grant is more than visible — it's foundational. Students from 1st–3rd grade — and now 4th–8th grade — have experienced the transition from playgrounds to fairways through our Field Trips Reimagined series, and it's just the beginning.

The support from the Lucious Bateman Foundation has not only strengthened our ability to deliver these enriching experiences but has also propelled our broader mission forward. While golf remains our gateway, the deeper aim of Drive 4 Change is to use sports, movement, and hands-on experiences as tools for developing well-rounded, confident youth.

With this grant, we’ve been able to enhance transportation, access, and equipment — and we’re now laying the groundwork to expand into other enrichment opportunities that incorporate STEM, environmental education, and leadership development.

Today, Ile Omode proudly hosts a student golf club open to all grade levels, with competitive opportunities for middle schoolers. What began as a simple skills class has grown into a platform for holistic youth empowerment.
